Doing physical activity means doing sport and with our current pace of life determining the right time of day to be active is quite complicated.
According to specialists, to feel good about yourself, you need to eat well, sleep well and be active.
Although it is possible to eat properly and work on the quality of sleep, some small rules about physical activity are often taken for granted.
The following information could be your guide:
Do physical activity in the morning
In the morning, you have to gently wake up the body and then you have to practice gentle physical exercises.
Yoga, tai chi, stretching, pilates or other light physical exercises.
If you want to have energy all day long, try to do your workout between 6:00 and 8:00.
A little gymnastics even on an empty stomach allows you to burn stocks of fatty acids and thus lose weight.
If, on the other hand, you choose something more demanding such as a run, then it’s best to treat yourself to a light but nutritious breakfast of yoghurt, fruit and cereals first.
Remember, however, that in the morning more than ever a little warm-up is necessary.
The ideal time for a hearty breakfast is between 7:00 and 8:00.
At this time, in fact, the lowest peak of insulin occurs, so it is the best time to take carbohydrates without paying too much attention to quantity.
Be careful to avoid sweets and fats that have the effect of weighing you down.
Doing physical activity in the middle of the day
When we talk about physical exercises in the middle of the day, we talk about the time between 10:00 and 16:00.
During this time, you can do endurance and muscle building exercises.
If you have fat to burn, this will be the ideal time to do it and you will also have the evening off.
Playing sports in the middle of the day greatly improves the quality of sleep.
Afternoon and evening
Often the only time of day when it is possible to succeed in sports is the first evening.
After 15:00 physical activity returns to the top, but the best time is between 16:00 and 18:00, is the time when motor coordination is better and the energy accumulated during the day allows you to be more active and maybe even burn off a little stress.
As long as you make sure your workout is 5 hours before you go to sleep, you will be fine.
Playing sports at night helps you get rid of stress and sculpt your body effectively.
If you plan to train in the evening, always end your session with a few minutes of stretching so that your body regains its calm.
In the evening, however, the right time for massages and skin treatments as at the end of the day the body naturally prepares itself for relaxation and perhaps the time available is a little more.
Cortisol
Be careful to train in the evening because excessive activation of the body, generated by sport, can create problems falling asleep and cause muscle stress that causes cortisol production.
Cortisol is secreted in a consistent way even after excessive sports training in particular, without giving the body the right time to recover.
Excess cortisol leads to an increase in abdominal fat (which is the most dangerous for cardiovascular health), and also makes it difficult to lose weight.
Cortisol also causes a continuous influx of sugar into the bloodstream, with the result that our body will turn this excess sugar into an additional store of fat and will never draw energy from adipose tissue.
